Watery grave for 3 teenagers near Amravati
Nagpur, July 23 (UNI) Three teenagers met with a watery grave when they had gone for a swim in a quarry inundated with water near Amravati in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, police said today.
The three friends, identified as Bhushan Misalkar (16), Amol Ashok Pachkawade (18) and Rahul Vasant Dukre (18) drowned after they failed to judge the depth of the water while swimming in the quarry yesterday.
The fourth youth, identified as Sagar Vasnat Dukre (20), however, survived as he stayed in shallow waters, police said and added that it was Sagar who alerted the people nearby, after which the bodies were fished out with help from the fire brigade.
