Sugarcane growers to hold conference to press their demands
Mysore, July 23 (UNI) To press for their demands the sugarcane growers have planned to hold a big conference at Davanagere next month, Mr Kurubur Shanthakumar, Farmers leader informed here today.
Addressing newsmen here today Mr Shanthakumar informed that even after five months after procuring sugarcane from the growers the factories have not paid money to the farmers.
The state government has also not announced the minimum support price (MSP) for Sugarcane as new crushing season would start soon.
To discuss all the issues pertaining to the problems of sugarcane growers a state level conference has been convened in which farmers all parts of the state would participate, he said.
