NSCN-IM to take people's view on truce extension
Kohima, Jul 23 (UNI) The NSCN-IM, which is to discuss the extension of the ongoing ceasefire with the Central Government in Nagaland on July 30 and 31, has called a meeting at Camp Hebron on July 27 to take the opinion of the civil societies in this regard.
NSCN-IM sources today said, a 'massive' public gathering of civil societies, including the leaders of the Naga civil societies, public leaders and village headmen is expected to voice their opinion on the ceasefire issue and what NSCN-IM has to say on the progress of the talks.
Significantly, two individuals from abroad, have been inducted to review the legal scope and dimensions, which may lead to an 'honourable' political settlement.
Sources here have informed that the next four to five months would chart a course of future action and the talks had so far reached a 'crucial' point.
