No forcible acquisition of land for SEZ: Rane

Mumbai, July 23 (UNI) Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane today reiterated the State government's stand that there would not be forcible acquisition of land for Special Economic Zones (SEZs).

Replying to the issue raised by Jayant Patil (PWP), Mr Rane said that if the farmers do not accept the deal they would not be forced to go through.

Mr Patil alleged that despite the assurance by the government, still the lands were being acquired forcibly for the purpose of SEZ.
