NABARD sanctions Rs 858 crore loan to Haryana

Chandigarh, July 23 (UNI) NABARD has sanctioned a number of projects for providing loans amounting to Rs 858 crore for Haryana.

This sanction was accorded in a meeting held at New Delhi today between Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and NABARD President Y S P Thorat.

In the meeting, loan of Rs 105 crore for the existing projects and Rs 176 crore for the new projects of the Irrigation Department was sanctioned.

Similarly, an amount of Rs 65 crore for the existing projects and Rs 100 crore for the new projects of the PWD (B&R) Department was sanctioned, Rs 90 crore for the existing and Rs 75 crore for the new projects of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Rs three crore for the existing and Rs 35 crore for the new projects of the Animal Husbandry Department, Rs 33 crore for the new projects of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board and Rs five crore for the existing projects of the Power Department were also sanctioned in this meeting.

For implementing the schemes of various departments, the share of the State Government for the existing projects is Rs 71 crore and Rs 100 crore for the new projects has been earmarked.
