Miyanpur massacre accused Mahesh Sharma arrested

Gaya, Jul 23 (UNI) The main accused of Miyanpur massacre, Mahesh Sharma of the banned Ranveer Sena, was arrested at village Tutrakhi under Konch police station area here today.

Police Superintendent Amit Kumar Jain said here that acting on a tip off, sleuth of police personnel raided a hideout at Tutrakhi village and arrested the Mahesh Sharma.

The police also recovered one rifle and several rounds of live cartridges from his posession, he added.

Mr Jain said Mahesh Sharma was wanted in as many as 15 cases including Miyanpur massacre which took place in the year 2000. The government had announced a cash award of worth Rs 1.5 lakh in his name.
