LIons Club adopts remote village
Tirupati, July 23 (UNI) To focus on social service in 2007-08 , the Tirupati Lions Club adopted Perumallapalli, a remote village in Vedurukuppam Mandal, about 20 kms from here, In a bid to foster development of remote villages this year, the club has decided to take up various works, including primary and adult education, safe drinking water and awarness camps on health, Club President T Jayarami Reddy and Secretary S Bhuvaneswari told the press today.
The club will also conduct awarness camps on latest technologies in agriculture sector to better production. It will also organise mega medical, eye, dental and AIDS camps in these villages.
