IRCTC to open food plaza in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Jul 23 (UNI) Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation will open food-joints in various stations in Orissa for the convience of the passengers, IRCTC Chief Regional Manager Sanjay Mohanty said here today.

Mr Mohanty told mediapersons here that while a fast food unit would be opened at Raygada railway station, food plazas would be set up in category 'A' stations like Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack, Sambalpur and Rourkela.

He said the eating joints would be open for 24-hours a day and besides passengers, the general public could also avail its services.

In the first phase 45 food plazas and fastfood units were opened in various railway stations of the country and 42 more would be opened in the second phase, the CRM added.

Mr Mohanty said tender for opening of these food joints had already been floated and would be made operational by the end of this year.

In addition to it, the IRCTC had also introduced tour packages to help the people visit places of interest like Kedarnath, Badrinath and Ooty.
