Hooda to inaugurate Kalpana Chawla Memorial Planetarium

Chandigarh, July 23 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda will inaugurate Kalpana Chawla Memorial Planetarium at Pehowa Road, Kurukshetra tomorrow.

While giving this information here today, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Ambika Soni would preside over the function.

Mr Chander Mohan said that the Planetarium had been constructed at a cost of Rs 6.50 crore and this amount had been shared by the National Council of Science Museum, Ministry of Culture, Government of India and Haryana State Council for Science and Technology on 50:50 basis.

He also said that the Planetarium would be a source of inspiration for the people and especially for the students as they would be able to know about the heroic deeds of the astronaut Kalpna Chawla in details.
