Delegation of Ram Tirath temple calls on Badal

Chandigarh, July 23 (UNI) A 20-member delegation of Aadhi Dharm Samaj led by it chief organisor Darshan Ratna Raavan today called on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and apprised him of their demands relating to the 'Kar Sewa' of the 'sarovar' at the ancient Ram Tirath temple in Amritsar district.

The delegation requested the CM to constitute a high powered adhoc committee for beautification of the temple site. It also called for widening the Amritsar- Ram Tirath road.

Mr Badal assured the delegation that all their genuine demands would be thoroughly examined and implemented in due course of time.

He said that he was unable to make any announcement at this point of time due to the enforcement of the model code for the forthcoming municipal corporations elections.
