Crime branch seizes duplicate pesticides in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 23 (UNI) The crime branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have seized duplicate pesticides from several areas in Baramulla and Pulwama districts.

An official spokesman said working on a compliant that duplicate pesticides were being circulated in the valley, a crime branch team assisted by agriculture enforcement wing officials jointly conducted raids in Pulwama and Baramulla districts.

They seized duplicate pesticides of majestic brand in large quantity under batch number 129 from various sale points.

The spokesman said some dealers, on learning about the raids, had set on fire huge quantities of duplicate pesticides.

However, the samples of burnt pesticides had also been seized from various points and a number of suspects picked up for questioning in this regard, he added.
