Century Textiles Q1 net profit at Rs 107.91cr

New Delhi, July 23: Century Textiles and Industries Ltd today said it has registered a net profit of Rs 107.91 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The total income rose to Rs 857.66 crore in Q1FY07 from Rs 734.32 crore during Q1FY06.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs 69.73 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2006, but due to cessation of manufacturing operations at its Mumbai Textile Mill, the results are not comparable with those of previous corresponding quarter, the company said in a statement.
