K'taka: Body of kidnapped boy recovered

Kolar Gold Fields (Karnataka), July 23: Police recovered the body of a kidnapped seven-year-old boy from a 3000-ft-deep sink near an abandoned gold mine in Marikuppam police limits here today.

The Police said the boy Ajit, a second standard stuident of a government school in Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh was kidnapped on July 20 and brought here by four kidnappers.

The boy accidentally fell into the sink which was full of water, police said. The mishap occurred even before the kidnapers could contact the parents and demand a ransom.

On receiving a complaint from Ajit's Father Narayanappa on July 20, the Kuppam police arrested Nurulla, one of his neighbours who on questioning confessed to have kidnapped Ajit with the help of three of his friends for collecting ransom.

The police also arrested Dinesh and Ramakanth and is searching for Imran who is absconding.
