25 TMC workers and 2 policemen injured in agitation

Howrah, Jul 23 (UNI) Ten Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers were today arrested when they were holding demonstrations in front of the Block Development Office at Udainarayanpur block here.

They were protesting against the Officer's alleged failure to handle the crisis arisng out of the recent floods.

TMC workers also pelted bricks and stones at the policemen, injuring two of them, who were guarding the office.

In retaliation, police also resorted to lathicharge in which 25 TMC supporters were injured.
