Two drowned five others injured in a boat

Kapurthala July 22 (UNI) Kamaljit kaur (12) and Amarjit kaur(25) were drowned while five others injured when a boat in which they were holidaying in the holy bein at Sultanpurlohdi capsized today.

According to police, seven persons including three children were holidaying in a boat on the ocassion of celebrations of seventh year of kar sewa of bein by Baba Balbir Singh Seechewal when their boat capsized resuting in the drowning of seven persons.On hearing the shrieks, the kar sewaks of Baba Seechewal immediately jumped into the rivulet and saved five persons and reocovered two dead bodies.

The injured have been admitted in the civil hospital at Sultanpurlodhi and stated to be out of danger.

Baba Balbir Singh Seechewl has organised a function on the banks of holy bein at Sultanpurlodhi to celebrate the seventh year of kar sewa.

Deceased Kamaljit kaur belonged to a village near Zira and Amarjit kaur belonged to village Sohal Khalsa falling in Shahkot .
