Two arrested for abetting suicide

Barrackpore, July 22 (UNI) Police today arrested two people in connection with a suicide case of three members of a family at Subashnagar under Khardah police station in North 24 Parganas.

According to police the duo had demanded extortion from the deceased, which forced them to sell off their land and house. They committed suicide following a severe financial crisis.

The magistrate remanded the accused to four days of police custody.

Police had recovered the bodies from their residence on July 20 last and registered a case of unnatural death case.
