TRS demands suspension of two Congress MPs
Hyderabad, July 22 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhara Rao today demanded that the Congress suspend its two MPs - Hariramajogaiah and Harsha Kumar - who filed a petition in the court against the implementation of 610 GO.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Rao said the Congress should sincerely implement 610 GO, issued to repatriate the non-local government employees from Telangana region.
Reiterating the TRS' demand that the government scrap the GO 34, issued to take up micro irrigation in Telangana, Mr Rao demanded that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy disclose the details of the surplus and assured water share in Krishna and Godavari rivers and in the proposed Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel project.
He said that he had written a letter to the Chief Minister urging him to transfer the 'Munnuru Kapu lands' and properties to its trust, which were acquired by the state Endowment Department.
Referring to the recent judgement on Wakf properties, Mr Rao said the party would file a contempt petition against the government if it failed to evacuate the encroachers from the Wakf lands and transfer it to state Wakf Department.
