Three arrested for fraudulent land deal in TN
Kancheepuram, July 22 (UNI) Police today arrested three persons, including the former panchayat president in a fraudulent land deal at Vadanemeli near Mahabalipuram in this district.
Police said Ravichandran of Thuvalpettai, near Arakonam in Vellore district lodged a complaint that a land owned by him at Vadanemeli was usurped by five persons and registered it with fabricated documents in their names.
Based on a complaint lodged by Ravichandran, a police team arrested three persons, as the other two Thangaraj and Murugesan, were absconding.
The arrested were identified as Pushparaj, Raj, Neelakandan.
Pushparaj was also involved in another land misuse case, lodged by Chadrasekasr, a resident of Chennai, who alleged that four persons, including Pushparaj had grabbed his plot near Vadanemeli and registered it in their names.
Efforts were on to trace the absconding persons.
A case had been registered and investigation was underway, police added.
