Suspected security forces' informer killed in Kashmir
Baramulla, July 22 (UNI) Suspected militants killed a person and wounded his son-in-law after they barged into a house and opened indiscriminate fire on residents in the neighbouring Kupwara district of north Kashmir last night, official sources said today.
They said the militants entered into the residence of Ghulam Mohammad Mir at Bowan in Handwara area of border district of Kupwara last night and opened fire.
The sources said while 55-year-old Mir was killed on the spot in the firing, his son-in-law Ghulam Qadir sustained serious injuries.
They said the militants believed that Mir was the security forces' informer.
