Students end strike following assurances from CM

Puducherry, July 22 (UNI) The students of the Lakshminarayana Institute of Medical Sciences and their parents today called off their indefinite relay fast before the legislative assembly on the third day of their agitation.

This followed talks they held with Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who reportedly assured them to look into their issue and redress it, if there was any possibility.

They were on a relay fast to press for Univseristy affiliation for the college and conducting of first year practical examinations to the students.
