Pay for cancelled congregation: Sikhs to SGPC
Amritsar, July 22: A delegation of Haryana Sikhs today urged SGPC to meet expenditure incurred on the July 11 cancelled Sikh congregation at Ratia in Sirsa district.
The delegation, led Mr Swaran Singh met Akal Takhat Jathedar Joginder Singh Vidanti here and conveyed their resentment over the cancellation.
They demanded that the SGPC should pay for arrangements made for holding the congergation which was later cancelled on the directions of the Akal Takhat Jathedar.
Mr Vidanti told the delegation that he would write to Haryana Government to put restrictions on the activities of Dera Sacha Sauda in the state.
