Search on to recover body of kidnapped boy
Kolar Gold Fields, Karnataka, July 22 (UNI) Police are searching for the body of a seven year old boy who was kidnapped on July 20 from Kuppam in Andhra Pradesh for ransom and pushed into a 3000 feet deep sink near an abandoned mine in Marikuppam police limits near here today.
Police said that the boy, second standard student of a Government School, was kidnapped by four people when he was returning home for collecting money from his parents.
The culprits brought the boy to KGF and were yet to contact his parents and put forth demand for ransom when the boy sitting near the sink fell into a 3000 feet deep sink dug to store water released from mine. It was an abandoned sink but due to heavy rain it was overflowing when the boy fell into it.
On receiving complaint from Narayanappa on July 20, Kuppam police arrested a neighbour Nurulla who on questioning confessed to have kidnapped Ajith with the help of three of his friends for collecting ransom.
Police arrested Dinesh and Ramakanth search for Imran who is absconding.
Search is continuing to recover the body.
Police said that three months back unidentified culprits had kidnapped Narayanappa and released him after Rs one lakh ransom was paid.
