Raipur, July 22 (UNI) Tribal leader and former minister Nankiram Kanwar, who is leading dissidents against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, today demanded that the party high command initiate a high-level inquiry into cross-voting by BJP MLAs in the 13th presidential election.

''I have learnt that I am being accused of cross-voting. This propaganda is being indulged in by those afraid of me. Such attempts are aimed at labelling me as anti-party. My dispute is with a person, not the party,'' Mr Kanwar told UNI here, after returning from Delhi.

A legislator of the state's ruling BJP, voted for UPA candidate Pratibha Patil and another saffron party MLA's vote was ''deliberately'' invalidated.

''I am in possession of the ballot paper's number and the truth will come out,'' he warned.
