Parishad to hold 'BC rally' soon: Bhujbal
Hyderabad, July 22 (UNI) Claiming all Backward Class(BC) associations in Andhra Pradesh had agreed to join Akhil Bharathiya Mahatma Phule Samata Parishad, its National President and Maharashtra PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal today said the parishad would organise a huge ''BC rally'' in four months in the state.
Addressing the mediapersons here, Mr Bhujbal said the BC organisations in the state had agreed to join hands with the Parishad to fight for their rights in future.
The future course of action would depend on the success of the rally in the state.
BC organisations in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Maharashtra would come under one roof by joining the Parishad, he said and added 'the Parishad is making efforts to unite all these organisations to fulfill their demands, including the implementation of 40 recommendations of Mandal Commission.' The Parishad would also organise BC rallies in other states gradually.
He asked the Centre to constitute separate ministry for BCs, provide 50 per cent reservation for BCs in legislative bodies and establish a BC commission.
