Over two lakh pilgrims pay obeisance at Amarnath so far
Srinagar, July 22 (UNI) Undeterred by complete melting of ice-lingam and grenade attacks, more than two lakh devotees have so far paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Amarnath in south Kashmir Himalayas since the beginning of two-month-long annual pilgrimage on July two, an official spokesman said today.
He said 1.61 lakh pilgrims had visited the holy cave shrine till yesterday. The pilgrimage was scheduled to commence from June 30, but got delayed due to bad weather in the region.
However, more than 50,000 devotees had visited the shrine before the official commencement of the pilgrimage.
