Nitish calls on ailing social activist

Patna, July 22 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today called on ailing veteran social activist Dashrath Manjhi at Patna Medical College Hospital and enquired about his health.

Accompanied by state health Secretary Deepak Kumar and other senior officers, Mr Kumar directed the doctors to ensure better treatment to Mr Manjhi, who had come to the limelight after carving out a road from the middle of a hillock in Gaya district.

Chief Minister said that state government would bear the entire cost of his treatment and necessary arrangements would be made if he was required to be sent outside the state for better treatment.
