MP's BJP MLAs discontented: Cong
Bhopal, July 22 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Jamuna Devi today claimed that seven less BJP votes being cast in favour of NDA-supported independent presidential candidate Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was clear proof of a spurt in saffron party MLAs' discontent vis-a-vis Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's policies.
The comment came during an interaction with the press here.
The 228-member Vidhan Sabha -- including 169 BJP legislators and 40 Congress -- witnessed voting by 226. Dr Shekhawat received 162 votes and UPA-supported nominee Pratibha Patil bagged 53.
