Mother, son killed in mishap

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, July 22 (UNI) Two people were killed and six, including four children, injured when the car in which they were travelling hit a lorry on Chennai-Kolkata National Highway at Satyanarayanapuram Village, near here, this afternoon.

Police said, the deceased were identified as Amudala Ratnakumar (35), an Income Tax Officer of Kakinada and his mother Savitri(50).

The car was proceeding to Kakinada from Vijayawada when the mishap occured.

The injured were shifted to University General Hospital in Vijayawada and Eluru Government Hospital.
