Man nabbed for running fake CD manufacturing unit

Rajkot, July 22 (UNI) The Quick Response Cell (QRC) of Rajkot police arrested a 36-year-old man here for allegedly running a fake compact disc (CD) manufacturing unit at Gandhigram area.

Acting on a tip off, the QRC sleuths raided the house of Ashok Panjumal Chhatvani last evening and recovered 1300 CDs, 850 DVDs and 1100 blank CDs from the place, police said.

The police also seized a computer and three cassette copiers. The collective amount of the seized goods totalled to about Rs 1.45 lakh.

Ashok has been running the fake CD unit for the past one year, police added.

UNI
