Hundreds of opposition political activists join BJD

Bhubaneswar, July 22 (UNI) Hundreds of activists from various opposition political parties joined the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today.

Several political activists, led by former Orissa Gana Parishad (OGP)youth wing president Badal Mohanty, the youth and student wing of Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) in the state and 82 office bearers of Urban local bodies and gram panchayats, including Zilla Parishad Chairman, Sarpanches, Naib Sarpanches of Bonai assembly constituency in Sundergarh district joined BJD at a function organised for the purpose.

BJD President and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcomed them and appealed them to strengthen the party.
