BJP to organise 'Chalo Assembly' on July 24
Hyderabad, July 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh BJP president and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatraya today said the party would organise 'Chalo Assembly' on July 24, in protest against the promulgation of ordinance for four per cent reservation to Muslims in education institutions and government jobs by the state government.
Addressing reporters here, Mr Dattatraya alleged that the Congress government had ''conspired'' to divide the society on religious lives by providing reservation to Muslims in the state.
Alleging that cases against Muslim reservation were pending in the courts and the government was implementing reservation for 'vote bank' politics, he said the government also lost control over Muslim educational institutions.
The BJP would organise meetings against Muslim reservation and launch agitations in the state, Mr Dattatraya added.
