Aviation unions join hands with Bharatiya Kamgar Mahasangh
Mumbai, July 22 (UNI) The employees' union of the two carriers today joined the Shiv Sena-affiliated Bharatiya Kamgar Mahasangh (BKM).
Announcing this at a press conference at 'Shiv Sena Bhavan' at Dadar, the party's Executive President Udhav Thackeray said more than 33,000 employees' of both the unions have joined hands with the BKM.
Mr Thackeray said ''now we will fight for their demands and work for betterment of the employees''. A representative of Bharatiya Kamgar Mahasangh will take up all their pending demands with the management in the near future, he said.
Thackeray declined to comment to a query pertaining to the status of the alliance with the BJP, after the Sena supported Pratibha Patil in the presidential election.
