Trough to bring rains in parts of AP

Hyderabad, July 21 (UNI) A trough, extending from Bihar to Central Bay of Bengal in lower tropospheric level is likely to bring rains to North Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over Telangana and Rayalaseema during the period, the weather office here said.

Hyderabad would have a generally cloudy sky. Rain or thundershowers were likely in parts of the city during the period.

Rain occurred at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema in the last 24 hours.

Kadapa and Koyyalagudem recorded a heavy rainfall of 7 cm each, followed by Palakonda 6 cm, Kalingapatnam, Perur, Pulivendala, Ranasthalam and Veeraghattam 5 cm each, and Dharmavaram, Dummagudem, Koida, Venkatapuram and Parvathipuram recorded a rainfall of 4 cm each.
