Ten-year-old killed in grenade explosion at BSF firing range
Hazaribagh, July 21 (UNI) A ten-year-old boy was killed when a grenade went off accidentally here today.
The boy had gone to collect splinters of grenades strewn over at a firing range after BSF personnel completed their training session.
The grenade, went off killing Vishal instantly.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Nausad Alam told UNI that Vishal died at the BSF firing range at Sitagarh Chandwara, about 10 kms from here, when he tried to dismantle an unexploded grenade to take out the splinters.
About 50 people, including children, living at the nearby villages, go to the firing range to collect the used grenades.
