Spl teams to ensure backlog clearance for SC/BC vacancies

Chandigarh, July 21 (UNI) Punjab Welfare of Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Minister Gulzar Singh Ranike today issued directions to Secretary Welfare to form Special teams to check that the backlog in vacancies for Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes was being cleared regularly.

The Minster said here today that it had come to his notice that certain Departments Boards and Corporations were neither filling the backlog of vacancies nor maintaining the proper roster register.

He said that team should conduct surprise raids on various departments, Boards and Corporations and submit report to him any irregularity found in the process.

The Minister also warned of strict action against any officer found flouting the direction of the government in filling the backlog of SC/ BCs vacancies.

Punjab Government would also prepare a detailed list of the backlog, he said.
