Police recovers 7200 gelatine sticks

Dhanbad, July 21 (UNI) Police have recovered 7,200 gelatine sticks from a tempo at Bariomore on the outskirts of the town under Gobindpur police station in this Jharkhand district.

Superintendent of Police Dr Sheetal Oraon today said here that the gelatine sticks were packed in 18 sacks and were being carried in the tempo from Tundi when police on patrol intercepted the vehicle last night.

However, the driver of the vehicle managed to escape.

The tempo was supposed to carry the sacks to neighbouring West Bengal, police said.
