Jubilations in Rajasthan Raj Bhawan over Pratibha Patil's win

Jaipur, July 21 (UNI) The Rajasthan Raj Bhawan here today turned into a venue of jubilation following the victory of Pratibha Patil in the Presidential polls who was Governor of the state till last month.

Soon after the formal declaration of the result of the 13th Preisdential election, the jubilations broke out and staff members greeted each other and distributed seets.

It was an unusual day for the staff at Raj Bhawan as they remained in touch with the progressing trends in the counting of the votes polled in the July 19 presidential election and arranged sweets for distribution in advance after noticing Ms Patil's constant lead from the beginning.

Ms Patil remained Governor of the state for over two and a half years between November 8, 2004 and June 22, 2007.

She demitted the gubernatorial office on June 22, to contest the Presidential election as UPA-Left nominee.
