Court reserves order on MP Pappu Yadav's petition

Patna Jul 21 (UNI) A local sessions court today reserved its order till July 24 in the Ajit Sarkar murder case after hearing the petition of incarcerated RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav.

A petition was filed before Additional District and Sessions judge of Patna B M Shrivastav on behalf of Mr Yadav with a prayer to make an inspection of the place of occurrence.

It was argued by the counsel of Mr Yadav that the visibility of the place of occurrence was not possible.

Opposing the prayer, the CBI counsel said the petition was just to delay the judgment in the case.

CPI (M) leader and MLA Ajit Sarkar was shot dead at Purnia in 1998.

RJD MP Pappu Yadav and former MLA of Bihar Rajan Tiwari were among the several accused facing the trial.

UNI
