Begin rebuilding Mah to agitate against Cong: BJP tells party cadres

Pune, July 21 (UNI) Around five lakh BJP workers will court arrest during the ''Congress chale jao'' agitation against the ''corrupt'' government in the State on Kranti Divas in Mumbai on August 9.

Addressing BJP party workers and office bearers of the division, BJP leader Gopinath Munde came down heavily on the Congress saying that it had a non-performing corrupt government in the State. Even at the Centre it had failed to curb the spiralling prices, terrorism and there was a complete breakdown of law and order. The Centre was towing the lie of the Left and the Congress had little choice in the selection of Pratibha Patil as Presidential candidate and Mohammad Hamid Ansari for the Vice-President's post.

Munde said that the State Government was selling 'Wakf' properties, the biggest scam till now. The State had witnessed dacoities, thefts and robberies at a large scale and jewellers were being targetted.

Gangsters were going scot free and even shoot-outs in courts were taking place, indicating a breakdown of law and order. ''What can be expected when the police themselves are involved in crime?'' he remarked, adding that even the Vidhan Sabha is a target and MLA's have to undergo security checks. Munde pointed out that even cases against Dawood's sister were not registered till the court ordered the same.

He said that not a single person has been caught in connection with the bomb blasts in local trains last year and the Malegaon riots that left over 200 and 44 dead respectively. ''We will bring back TADA and POTA if voted to power,'' he said even as the Congress government had scrapped it.

He said that in the next 14 years, essential commodities like wheat, pulses, oils, rice and grains would have to be imported as we are no longer self-reliant and there is a shortage. The Congress-NCP must go, he said, asking party cadres to form committees and begin working for the goal of defeating the Congress, NCP and Left forces and work for ''Nav Maharashtra''.

Earlier, BJP State Chief Nitin Gadkari stressed on 'organisational network'and that party workers must begin preparing for the ''Mahayudh'' the Parliamentary and State Elections.

He said that partymen should have a positive attitude nad refrain from finding faults with one another. For the purpose, he said that process will begin to form booth committees comprising of 15 members that will look after every constituency in the State. ''There should be transperancy and an open dialogue. No party worker should hurt the feelings of another,'' Gadakri said adding that only the deserving, who also commands respect should get party posts and leadership to influence public opinion.

''If we change our orientation and become ''samartha' fully capable, only then can we succeed in driving out the Congress,'' he added.
