BC, MBC girls to be given air hostess training in TN
Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, July 21 (UNI) Girl students hailing from the Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes will be imparted air hostess training at a cost of Rs two crore, BC and MBC Welfare Minister M R K Panneerselvam said.
The training would be imparted to 200 girl students and application and exam schedule for the course would be brought out shortly, he said, inaugurating an MBC students hostel built at a cost of Rs 31 lakh at Maduramangalam, near here, last night.
Mr Panneerselvam said the State Government was offering skilled training to MBCs to improve their economic conditions at an annual cost of Rs ten crore and 14,000 students had benefitted from the programme last year.
He said Rs 25 crore worth loans would be provided to BC and MBC small farmers, with each farmer entitled to a loan of Rs one lakh, of which 50 per cent would be subsidy.
