Bangalore gets Rs 116 crore approved under JNNURM

Bangalore, July 21 (UNI) The Centre has approved four more projects for the city amounting to Rs 116 crore for construction of grade separators and underpasses to decongest the clogged city roads.

The projects, submitted by Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), was given the green signal by the Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee in the Ministry of Urban Development, yesterday.

The Union Government would fund 35 per cent of the project cost, the State Government 15 per cent and the remaining 50 per cent would be borne by the BBMP, an official release here said today.
