8 booked for irregularities in zila panchayat election
Mahoba, July 21 (UNI) A case has been registered against eight persons, including a Samajwadi Party leader, for irregulaties in the last Zila Panchayat election here.
Former SP Lohia Vahini district chief and zila panchayat president's representative Chhatrapal Singh Yadav is the prime accused in the case.
Meanwhile, all the accused had gone underground.
On January 6, 2006, Chhatrapal along with his aides abducted Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Patkar from his Srinagar's residence.
Some of the accused, including Raj Mishra were already lodged in jail over a case of idol theft.
