6 Amarnath pilgrims injured in Kashmir blast

Srinagar, July 21: Six Amarnath pilgrims, including two Sadhus, were injured in a grenade blast at Pahalgam, the base camp of holy cave this afternoon.

Official sources said unidentified militants hurled a hand grenade at Pahalgam this afternoon.

Initial reports said six pilgrims, including two Sadhus, were wounded.

The area has been cordoned off and a massive hunt launched to nab the militants responsible for the blast.

The blast occured after a similar attack at Baltal on Tuesday, in which one local was killed and 19 others, including a yatri from Uttar Pradesh, were injured.

Yesterday, a series of grenade blasts in the city left about 12 people wounded.
