TDP demands protection of Tirumala's sanctity
Hyderabad, July 19 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today demanded that the government protect the sanctity of the Tirumala Hills.
Addressing a press conference here, he alleged that the state government had failed to protect the sanctity of Tirumala for the last three years and honour the sentiments of the people.
Though the propagation of other religions increased in Tirumala, the government had not taken any steps to stop it, he alleged.
While condemning the Youth Congress activists for taking out a rally in Tirumala, defying the ban, he demanded stern action against those involved in the incident.
The government should appoint a TTD Chairman, who had faith in God and religion, he added.
