Process of land valuation to be over by Aug:Minister
Thiruvananthapuram, July 19 (UNI) Kearla Fisheries and Registration Minister S Sharma today told the State Assembly that the process of fixing fare value for land in the state would be completed by August.
Responding to questions from Mr Raju Abraham and others, he said the government intended to classify land in 15 items to fix the fare value and the process had already started in 21 Revenue Divisions However, before taking a final decision in this regard, the government would convene taluk-level meetings and hear to suggestions.
Claiming 55 per cent increase in revenue collection, he said the government was expecting Rs 1,525 crore once the process was completed.
Mr Sharma said computerisation of offices of the Sub-Registrar would be completed in four months. Digital image printers would be provided to all 309 Sub-Registrar offices within one year.
