Pawar and Kamalnath to inaugurate auto cluster project at Pune
Pune, July 19 (UNI) The much awaited Rs 67 crore auto cluster project to provide various technology related services for the automobile sector and small scale industries will be inaugurated at the hands of Union Commerce Minister Kamalnath and Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar at Chinchwad on July 21.
Managing Director of the Auto Cluster Development and Research Institute Ltd, V M Rao said that the project is established under the Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Schemes(IIUS) of the department of Industrial Policy and Promotion of the Union Commerce and Industry Ministry. The project aims to provide engineering support and service for automobiles and ancillary industries. The new building will offer state-of-the-art facilities at Chinchwad.
The Pune Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has provided 40 acres of land for the project that has been supported jointly by the Maharashtra Chambers of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture(MCCIA) and the PCMC. The auto related industries will get aid to upgrade the quality of their products to international standards.
