One crore looted from Karur Vysya Bank's vehicle

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, July 19 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants today looted Rs one crore from a Karur Vysya Bank's vehicle, which was going to Vijayawada from Nandyal in Kurnool district.

Prakasham district Superintendent of Police Vineeth Brijlal said when the van, carrying Rs one crore, reached Giddalur in Prakasham district, a gang, which came in a car, intercepted the vehicle around 0630 hrs and threatened the bank staff with dire consequences. They took the money and escaped from the spot.

Giddalur police registered a case.
