India wants Australia to treat Dr Haneef justly and fairly

New Delhi, July 19 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today talked to his Australian counterpart Alexander Downer to express the concern of India and its people to treat Dr Mohammad Haneef fairly and justly under Australian law.

The call was initiated at the request of the Australian side and the two ministers agreed to that their countries should conclude Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty, External Affairs Ministry sources said.
