Kolkata, July 19 (UNI): Dunlop India Limited, now owned by Ruia group, will start commercial production in next three to four months in its Shahaganj factory.

Speaking on the sidelines of the company's AGM here today, Dunlop chairman Pawan Kumar Ruia said,"We are producing around 27 to 30 tonne per day, which will be ramped upto 50 tonne per day soon." "After three to four months, when we will cross 90 tonne per day, then we can announce commencement of commercial production," Mr Ruia said.

Dunlop's Shahagunj factory workers' strength would be expanded to 1179 from 929 now, he added.

The company is also in talks with Tata Motors to supply tyres for the later's factories in Kolkata, Pune and Jamshedpur.

He said the company is also planning to start production in its Ambattur factory in August. ''The factory was closed due working capital crunch, labour related issues and power supply problem.

These have sorted out,'' he said.
