Controversial MLA Mukhtar faces heat of LDA over illegal building

Lucknow, July 19 (UNI) After the properties of Samajwadi Party Atiq Ahmad in Allahabad under close scanner of the state government, the heat has been turned on to another controversial Independent legislator Mukhtar Ansari with Lucknow Development Authorities (LDA) today demolishing portions of a grand show room in the posh Hazratganj area.

The show room rented out to a business group of Kanpur to house an exclusive women's garment store was partially demolished by the LDA.

According to LDA officials present at the spot, the construction of the basement and ground floor was illegal hence it had to be demolished.

Though the ownership of the building is in the name of a relative of Mukhtar Ansari,it has been an open secret that it belonged to the controversial mafia-turned legislator presently lodged in Ghazipur jail. He was the main accused in the sensational murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai.

Earlier, Allahabad Development Authority(ADA) had either sealed or demolished hotels and shopping complex of several close of the SP MP Atiq Ahmed at Allahabad last week.
